Looking Ahead

Much of this week has been a preparation for the week to come. As I'm taking a trip next week, I've had to plan my ISM activities accordingly and work ahead to ensure that I wouldn't fall behind when I returned. This was a great lesson for me because, in the professional world, there may be any number of trips or unexpected events. As a result, working ahead can allow for increased flexibility and adaptability, which are, of course, great skills to have as a working professional. It can also reduce stress by limiting procrastination, allowing for more time to be spent on projects rather than stressing out.

In other news, I gave the next iteration of my speech—which incorporated my original work— in ISM this week. It was another great reminder that there is always room for improvement. Even though I have a lot of experience in giving speeches and talking in front of others, I still got nervous and my speech wasn't perfect, so I still have room to grow in that area as well. This is a great opportunity because it means that I can make my skills even better than before!

Overall, it's been a great week in ISM, and I'm excited for the week to come!
