Level Up II

My research has progressed nicely during this week in ISM. I've gained valuable skills on how to look for the information that I actually need and differentiating it from interesting, yet irrelevant, studies and articles.

As a result, I've had greater success in efficiently expanding my base of knowledge, which is giving me a much better grasp over the material that I will cover in my research paper. At this stage, I am starting to think of an outline for my research paper and the topics that it will cover.

I've also been fortunate to have finally been able to schedule another interview with a professional.

I'm very excited for this one because the professional's work is very in-touch with the subjects that I am researching, so I'm hoping that I'll gain a lot of knowledge from it. Either way though, I've learned many valuable professional lessons from each of my interviews, and I know that I will learn some from this one too.

One of my key takeaways from this week was the power of connections with peers, or in the professional workplace, colleagues. While I was trying to figure out how to expand on a topic in my research paper, one of my classmates was able to give me an idea that has given me a new perspective on my entire paper.

As a result, I have a much clearer focus and idea of what topics I should touch on. It helped me realize that these types of interactions were also important in the professional world, since they can not only help generate ideas, but deepen connections between colleagues as well.

I've made a lot of progress this week, and as the pace of ISM continues to steepen, I know that this rate of progress will only increase from here. I'm excited to see what happens next!
